“Absolutely beautiful!”

This winery is more than worth the trip up the mountain road. The setting is lovely (you will pass Schweinger Winery as well). Although we didn't have an appointment, the owner was able to fit us into the 3:30 tour. The group had about 8 people total. Our guide told us a little about the history of the winery and it's ownership. We sampled a couple wines - and then it was off to the caves to tour and sample the rest. The cave is very pretty with candlelighting along the path (as well as overhead lighting) The guide was informative and friendly. We enjoyed this tour so much more than the big winery tours. The wine is wonderful and well-named (although Pride is actually the name of the family owning the winery) There are so many wineries in the area - Don't miss this one!

“Very nice experience”

Great experience, great location. Beautiful drive up the hill, under trees.
Excellent guide, excellent Cabernet and Viognie. Interesting presentation about
all kinds of things that influence how a wine comes out.

“Amazing views and even better wines!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 February 2012

A lovely drive up to this winery will reward you with a top notch tasting room, gorgeous views, and even better tasting wines! An excellent winery to visit... stop at others on your way up here. Many of our favorite wineries are on Spring Mountain Rd. - need a reservation but we called on way up there and they accommodated us and were so friendly also helping us with our driving plans for rest of day and dinner plans!

“Highlight of my trip to Napa”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 February 2012

This was my personal favorite from our recent trip. It's at the very top of spring mountain and is just beautiful. Our tasting guide was so friendly and informative. You get to go into their cave (even just doing a tasting - not a tour) and taste wines directly from the barrel. Our guide let us taste a wine that was young and not ready - followed by one that was ready - super fun to compare the tastes and the cave was beautiful! Their wines were fantastic as well! Definately worth the drive up!

You will need to make an appointment even just for tastings - this isn't because they are snobby! - their area requires it of all the vineyards on the mountain but during the non busy season I was told that a lot of times they will let you make your appointment right when you drive up to the gate -

If you do make it up there - head over to Sweiger next (they are only a few roads below and they were my husbands favorite of the trip)

“Best Winery in Wine country!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 February 2012

We have been to Napa many times but never made the trip up to Pride. I am SO glad we did this time? It was extremely informative and interesting! Our guide Jason was knowledgable about Pride of cour se but also gave us many tasting and cooking tips. The views are spectacular. Bring a picnic lunch or better yet book far enough ahead to plan a private pairing tasting in their beautiful cave tasting room. I cannot say enough good things about this winery. Must visit (make reservations and give yourself plenty of time to get there)
