The last post said it well. Same person met me in the parking lot on the way back from a fine mcdonalds dinner, (thats all thats avail). Misled from the get go , they advertise airport shuttle but if you have an early flight be ready to shove out 25 for the ride to the airport..Oh and check in was a joke , solid 20 min. and oh yeah thanx for all the help w/bags and rest. referalls..Toilet runnung constantly when you walk in the room so dont forget to jiggle the handle. Done w/ hotwire and listening to all the reviews on this site as well,, It used to be a good source for unbiased info but no more..Spend $100+ and feel safe and get a free ride to the airport in natomas area. Been there done that and thats where ill be from now on.

Hey past reviewer lets get together and write something good to the owner of this fine estab..

Would love to slam them on this ...

After reading several reviews over a period of months, I chose the Governors Inn for our stay in SAC. We arrived by train yesterday and the van from the hotel picked the four of us up. Our room was ready and it was everything we hoped it would be. Comfortable beds and a quiet room. Since there are four of us, it was so nice to see the sink/closet area was separate from the shower/toilet room. Our check in took all of 2 minutes, as they were ready for us, after sending the van to pick us up. All of the help have made us feel welcome. Had our breakfast here and now heading out for the day. For those interested, they had wine, iced tea and cookies shortly after we arrived.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room if that is your desire. We enjoyed a great nights sleep.

This was a great hotel for our one night stop over while on the road.

On vacation my Wife and I were squeezing in a short day of sightseeing in downtown Sacramento and needed a place for one night.

I was apprehensive in booking a Priceline three star place since we hate being surprised with dirty hotels. This place was perfect: Clean, in room wi-fi and friendly staff.

The King size bed was very comfortable.

The hotel is in the middle of an industrial area, so the view is of the McDonalds drive through or a business building is nothing special. However it is only 5 minutes from downtown and the old town section, which made it a perfect stop for touristing.

The breakfast is the average: Fruit, yogurt and a waffle machine.

Room Tip: Room on the east or south side, since they do not look into McDonalds.

We got this room at a great rate on Priceline. Due to some of the reviews posted previously, we were VERY NERVOUS about staying here, and were ready to bolt to another hotel if the room did not meet expectations. Our fears were put to rest as soon as we walked into the room. The rooms were updated, large, and the beds were VERY comfortable. Great for an overnight stay.

The minus: the location feels very isolated, especially on a weekend. Also the single ply toilet paper is very thin, more suitable for a 1 star.

We missed breakfast, but McDonalds was right next door, and we just walked on over.

Overall, good for the price and for one night.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not facing the freeway and far enough from the rumbling ice machine (that machine is...

We were driving from San Diego to Portland, with no place in mind to spend the night. We found Governors Inn Hotel through Hotel Pal. Turns out, it was a great place to stay! It's right off the freeway, but with no freeway noise. The rooms were very well kept. We had a single king room. The staff were all knowledgable and friendly. The price was also excellent. If I had any criticism at all, it's that the elevator was at the back of the building, rather than near the foyer, and the breakfast was only minimal. (But we didn't pick the place for the breakfast!) This is a great place for someone traveling through, looking for a clean, safe place for the night.

Room Tip: I found the hotel via Hotel Pal app. Their price was just $10 less than the walk-in price.
