This place has the best Omakase ever! You basically leave it up to the sushi chef to give you the best dining experience in a sushi restaurant. The chef will serve you items exclusive to the Omakase menu which may include limited quantity toro shipped in from Japan that morning or special uni from Haikado. Each piece is masterfully prepared and seasoned by the chef. The origin of the sushi and preparation is described and the chef's recommendation on how to eat the sushi usually accompanies each course. There is a great deal of detail and purpose in the order of which sushi to eat first. Expect uni, caviar, foiegras, beef shashimi, snow crab, hairy crab, fire fly squid and or swordfish and so many other items shipped directly from Japan the same day. This is the only restaurant I would willingly drive four hours roundtrip every weekend to go eat at. Make sure you reserve ahead of time to sit at the bar. And yes, there is fresh wasabi grated from the root and not a powder.
