This restaurant was recommended so we expected more than we got. Food was average but cocktails and wine were great. Prices are on the high side however food flavours were disappointing. Staff was very friendly and helpful not sure we will be back when in Sacramento.

I decided to have a late lunch on a Wednesday afternoon and was seated at a booth in the bar area by August, the host. Candace was my server and answered my questions about the menu. She mentioned that the Field Greens salad would include romaine or spinach because the last shipment of the usual greens was rejected. I chose the romaine with the Cedar Plank Salmon for my entree followed by a "shot" of the carrot cake dessert. The salmon dish included a nice variety of vegetables: heritage carrots, asparagus, beets, and crushed potatoes. Food and service were excellent.

Season 52 is an upscale restaurant located in the Arden Mall. The food is varied and well-prepared. Service was a bit slow at times, but the waitress had a lot of tables at the time. The food choices are plentiful and is well-prepared. There is a gluten-free menu available for those in need. The pricing is moderate plus, but the quality is good.

Business dinner of 14-15 guests. Although we had long pre-arranged reservations, we were seated at a large table with full view of the kitchen. The atmosphere was ruined by the wide open doors to the kitchen. We were treated to a complete view of the staff dumping plates, bagging huge trash cans, performing back of the house chores throughout the meal. The food paled and was not appetising when treated to this view. Our male server was slow and not motivated in any way. Having visited previously, obviously, they can do better. We will look elsewhere to host our guests. This did not leave a good impression with our group who will return to their homes through California, and the Northwest. Not one management or supervisory person visited our table or inquired
about our “dining” experience. Not impressed.

We sat at the bar, enjoyed delicious food, and watched the Olympics. What a perfect combination! Food was served quickly.
