In spite of it's name, Pomona Valley Mining Company is a restaurant, not a mine. And a very good restaurant it is. The interior is reminiscent of an old gold mine from the 1850's, however, the food is far superior to what the miners had. They have excellent steaks, prime rib, chicken and fish and fixin's along with a spectacular view of the Pomona Valley. The restaurant is visible from I10, but only if you know where to look, as it sits fairly high on top of a hill. As you walk across the wooden bridge from the parking lot into the restaurant, be sure and take a look at all of the old mining artifacts on the ground below.
