Still Waters is one of our go-to wineries in Paso Robles, and they did not disappoint this time.
Although the Harvest Festival Weekend was gearing up, our visit was friendly and pleasant. The wine was fantastic, like always. Sorry we missed the music.
Looks like a great place for a wedding.
This is a small family run vineyard and winery with no pretense, just good wine. It's a wonderful place to visit on Sunday's when they have concerts in the olive grove. Enjoying the gardens can be done any day though and they are comfortable year round.
I visited as part of a birthday celebration group. A friend has a membership at this vineyard, which means she gets discounts on wine and wine tasting. Of course the grounds are open to the public.
Just driving in the gates I felt as if I were in a commercial. So gorgeous and laid back. We had brought a picnic lunch with us and decided to order a bottle of wine instead of doing the tasting. The wine chosen was exquisite, a white, Viognier. We ate and drank at one of the outdoor tables on green grass. We had a view of the 100 year old Olive Tree grove, that also serves as a shady concert area, the vineyards, and a few rustic out buildings. Lots of lovely rose bushes and rose trees.
A tour of the property was offered, and our experience with the staff was great. We opted out of the tour because we were enjoying chatting in the beautiful surroundings.
I choose 2 artichokes out of the seasonal produce bucket, and left a few dollars in the jar for the vineyard workers who grow them.
Just a lovely, happy oasis, off a country road.
During a recent trip to Paso Robles we had planned a day of visiting wineries in the area. Highly recommended by friends, we arrived at Still Water by noon and fell in love with the place. Gorgeous grounds, plenty of places to sit and enjoy the wine served. We soon lost track of time sipping on the best wines ever!
Paso Robles wineries do not get better than this. I have been coming to Still Waters vineyards for over five years now and each time I come I am overwhelmed by the beauty of the place. The winds are distinguished and fresh, and I love especially the Viognier. People who work at this Vineyard are very friendly and make you feel welcome. Bring lunch and have a picnic on the lawn with a bottle of one of their wines and you will not be disappointed. It is a very memorable winery and you will be back very soon.
