I visited as part of a birthday celebration group. A friend has a membership at this vineyard, which means she gets discounts on wine and wine tasting. Of course the grounds are open to the public.
Just driving in the gates I felt as if I were in a commercial. So gorgeous and laid back. We had brought a picnic lunch with us and decided to order a bottle of wine instead of doing the tasting. The wine chosen was exquisite, a white, Viognier. We ate and drank at one of the outdoor tables on green grass. We had a view of the 100 year old Olive Tree grove, that also serves as a shady concert area, the vineyards, and a few rustic out buildings. Lots of lovely rose bushes and rose trees.
A tour of the property was offered, and our experience with the staff was great. We opted out of the tour because we were enjoying chatting in the beautiful surroundings.
I choose 2 artichokes out of the seasonal produce bucket, and left a few dollars in the jar for the vineyard workers who grow them.
Just a lovely, happy oasis, off a country road.
