On the day my two daughters and I went to Indian Canyons it was a super hot day. We started on the Andreas Canyon loop and it was so hot (over 110 degrees) that we just took a short stroll. The path along the stream is very walkable. Wear comfortable shoes and you will be fine. They have some amazing palm trees at this site and we took many pictures. You will also see tiny geckos scampering around which is really cool. We are Canadians and never see that. We would highly recommend you checking out Indian Canyons. We felt very safe walking around there even though there were not many people around.

Amazing rock formations, lovely stream beside the trail. The 1 mile trail was challenging enough. I was glad I had walking sticks, but most younger people would not need them- I am 77.

This is quite a walk, so do not take it during real hit. Actually for Palm Springs it would be best if you check the place in the period of October - April, during the summer it simply is too hot. Views are spectacular, there even is this little waterfall to see. Take your hiking boots and plenty of water! And talk to the native Indians at the entrance, they have extremely interesting stories to tell!

This was a lovely, unique spot. We did a couple short hikes and really enjoyed it. So close to town, too. Go early in the day. It gets hot and crowded.
