Hotel is promoted as "Oakland Airport's brand new full-service hotel." Expecting to find the "modern chic" "brand new" accommodations they advertise, we instead were given a vague map and sent off to discover that our difficult-to-find room was actually in a remote and desolate area of an old outdoor motel set-up and situated over a back lot by the highway. (It seems there is a main mid-rise of rooms, apart from this two-level motel set up.) We arrived late at night and felt very unsafe at the location, especially as dark, obscured stairs were the only way to access our back-alley, albeit modernly-renovated MOTEL room. Incidentally, the hotel promotes itself as accessible, but there are no elevators to the second floor rooms -- Difficult for one of our party, especially with luggage.
When I called the front desk upon arriving in our room, I was bluntly told there are no other rooms available, and was dismissed with a suggestion to call if I hear anything of concern and I'm welcome to call the manager after 9:00am. Were it not so late with an early flight the next day, we would have left immediately.
The highway traffic & parking lot noise is VERY loud. The A/C also did not work. Nor did the "free WiFi." We got almost no sleep at all.
When I shared my dissatisfaction again at check out, I received a blank stare, an "Oh. Sorry," and was promptly handed my bill.
We felt the hotel is misleadingly marketed, overpriced and unsafe. The front desk staff were aloof and seemed unconcerned and ill-prepared to handle customer issues. Though I sent the manager an email, I have not yet heard from him.

A great pit stop in you are flying via Oakland airport, or watching sport at the Coliseum or the Oracle Arena of which are both are walking distance.

We stayed here only 1 night at the beginning of August 2017 during a 10 night tour of California in order to be able to go see the San Fran Giants v the Oakland As & both of us drink.

We literally arrived at the hotel late afternoon, got changed & went to the baseball & then left early the next morning; so I could not comment of any of the facilities at the hotel. That said the reception was welcoming & the staff efficient. The room itself was modern & at the back on the hotel on the ground floor.

I have stayed in both rooms, the tower rooms and the regular rooms and unless you have 2 small children I would recommend the regular. Regular rooms are VERY small in Oakland but 2 people comfortable. Overall it depends on how much you pay and how long you're staying for. I would not recommend staying here longer than a day or two. Things to think about before you stay here.

1. LOTS of people come here to party and depending on the date (week or weekend) people are partying non stop and have tons of cars going in and out. If you pay under 100$ I'd say compare to the Hilton and take ONLY if it's cheaper. (HILTON guarantees their hotel stays and will automatically fix anything that happens its in their policy. They also have better breakfast and better security ALWAYS compare prices on Google, it's the fastest)

2. Motel 6 is next door (NOT family friendly for the people running in and out of that area) The Radisson itself isn't very safe either drug dealers run in and out of there.

3. Comfort level - bed is amazing / TV is a nice size (Tower room has 2)

4. The room doesn't look like the pictures! Regular rooms are perfect only if you're staying for 1 night only and it's only you and a spouse.

5. Tower rooms fit about 4 people and the couch turns in to a small pull out bed plus they have a kitchen in there if you want to close the door it's divided plus there's a chair in the room. CHECK to make sure air conditioner works my tower room did NOT and it was 90 degrees outside!

6. Breakfast is amazing but it's not included unless you have a certain prestige and card.

7. Housekeeping is so polite and is friendly even if you need something after they've left your room.

Overall my stay was terrible and I won't be going back because my credit card number was stolen over the phone. The caller knew the managers name and called asking if I had paid for breakfast stating he was the manager and knew my full name. Come to find out it was fraud and someone supposedly impersonating the manager but regardless the front desk transferred the call!! How do you transfer a call to a room without asking information first #FAIL! Then when I called the manager he comes to my room saying he would fix it and write me a letter stating what happened and how his staff were responsible for transferring the call and NEVER did! To make matters worse the air conditioner in our room did not work and they never fixed it.

Room tip: stay at the Hilton instead it's usually the same price if not 20$ more

If the hotel had better communication with the front desk and shuttle drivers it would greatly improve the hotel's overall ratings. Also, I recommend the hotel improve their procedures when handling noise complaints. I along with, at least one other guests, made noise complaints which went on for a few hours.
