Owners are not as trying to be nice and caring, but not organized. Place were not very clean and they left a sprinkler open to make my patio completely wet. They had option to make our evening beautiful (fire pit, grill, outdoor furniture was there), but made not attempt. Breakfast starts at 9am. Most of the people leave early for the tour and miss it. Our room had very poor wifi connection.

Room smelled like cigarettes and the bedding was filthy and covered with animal hair.
We did leave, but had to find something else in a pinch that was way over priced. Not a ligament bed and breakfast.

Room Tip: We didn't know whether to be mad or sad.... speechless.

I will start with the good things. This place is, as advertised, nestled beautifully amidst the hills and trees. It is a very peaceful setting with lots of outdoor seating. It definitely has character (meaning clean and quaint, but run down). However, we had several issues that would stop me from ever staying here again. First off, the room we stayed in had a musky/mildewy odor, and the AC leaked water all over the floor (the staff did come and mop it up). They offered us a room switch/upgrade, which we turned down because there were roaches in the other room. Then, in the morning, we waited around for the 9am breakfast that was advertised on the breakfast. At 9:30, there was still no sign of staff or cinnamon rolls, and no one answering knocks at the office door.. A guy who stated he neither lived nor worked there came around and offered to make us some breakfast. We declined, but he insisted. Unfortunately, the kindness of his offer was offset by the roach in the eggs.

Noone came out to greet us and the lights were off, not a good start. However, we were both very tired and simply paid for the room unseen....huge huge mistake. The room was just wrong, smelt terrible, the ceiling by the bed was less than 2 inches higher than my head, and the bath/Jacuzzi had no privacy. Let's not mention that the owners footsteps could be clearly heard just above your head. We went back to Oakhurst to eat and simply didn't return. There was no way I was going to have my girl spend the night there.

In short, don't do it. If you cannot find a room somewhere else, sleep in your car instead.

Having been let down on an airbnb stumbled across this place and due to cancellation Ryan managed to get us in for 2 nights. Very handy for Yosemite and access to Oakhurst & Bass lake. Would recommend.
