Description: Carpe Diem offers a sophisticated, yet casual dining experience in the heart of downtown Napa. Our enthusiastic staff and lively atmosphere bring uniqueness to the table. An ever-changing wine list and family share-plate style menu elevates the dining experience from a mechanical process to a convivial experience. As an innovative restaurant, we modify our menu on the last Friday of every month. Executive Chef Scott Kendall creates original dishes that our guests would not anticipate. Their most enjoyed plates include the ostrich burger with cranberry coriander compote, creamy brie and truffle fries or the housemade burrata which is mozzarella heaven served with cabernet sea salt, basil crystals and grilled bread. The chefs also keep things fresh with the soup of the moment and chef's selection of tacos updated weekly with seasonal ingredients. Guests are invited to personalize the dishes "Carpe style" by adding an organic poached duck egg and crispy pancetta to any plate. Wines and beers are expressly selected to compliment the food, enhancing the culinary experience at Carpe Diem. Our team is constantly searching for new wines and beers that will pleasantly surprise both locals and visiting guests. Carpe Diem Brewing Co. is excited to share our beers exclusively at the restaurant with eight constantly rotating tap handles alongside other local craft brews. Some of our unique wines include Outcast, Rosalynd, and Keever. Our extensive wine list with over twenty wines by the glass entices our guests to sample something new and discover the perfect pairing with their meal.

We visited at 7pm on a Sunday night and there we only 2 other diners when we arrived. We ordered wine while we perused the menu. The service was extremely slow, other diners that arrived after us had their wine served before us. The place was completely full by the time we left. That being said the food was excellent We had the fish which was cooked perfectly. When one of our guests did not like one of the wines they were offered a another glass of one they preferred. Would go back.

Stopped in here for a few drinks after arriving in Napa. Great selection of local wines and friendly staff. They even gave us a 1/2 glass each of sparkling wine after discovering we were on our honeymoon. We didn’t stay for dinner but did snack on some of their fries which were pretty yummy to say the least! Would recommend!

I was in Napa for a few days ... every restaurant we visited was amazing, except for Carpe Diem. Perhaps it was an off night? The server was pleasant and cheerful, but the food execution was poor. We tried an ostrich burger (undercooked) and also had the fish (overcooked)...but the worst part was that the wine was not delivered until AFTER our main entrees had already been served for 5-10 minutes...not usually picky, but this is Napa after-all and I had thought wine is the center piece for everything? When you are paying these prices, you expect top-notch execution. There are a lot of other options in Napa...

Picked this place for dinner based on ratings and reviews. Ezekial, behind the bar, gave us excellent recommendations. Top honors go to the charcuterie plank with salami, prosciutto, and triple cream brie. Loved the New York Strip steak, and the pork tacos were amazing. Dessert, Twix wth chocolate sauce! Pretty damn good. Highly recommended…
