Went to this restaurant based off of a recommendation from an employee of the hotel we were staying at. We were told the Sushi chef would be the highlight of our meal (that he was!).
There was a large group of us (8) and we all ordered sushi and a few appetizers. Having traveled to many places I would rate the quality and taste of the sushi at "just-OK". I've had better at my local japanese steakhouse. Service was not so great. Drinks were only refilled after 1/2 the table was empty entirely. Someone at the table had ordered a "small hot sake" and was given an Asahi beer instead. It took about 20 minutes for the first sushi roll to come out to the table and then they continued to arrive to each person over the course of the next hour! Some people at our table received one of their sushi rolls immediately, and the remaining 3 rolls an hour later. Although the sushi chef (whom was obviously intoxicated and continuing to take shots of sake) was hilarious, the speed (even for sushi) and order in which we received our food was slow and almost awkward with such a large group of people. Many of us were eating at different times as others, even after waiting until everyone had at least one plate of food in front of them before taking our first bites. As mentioned, the sushi chef was quite entertaining but it wasn't enough to make me return to this restaurant over all the others to choose from in the area.
