Ate here yesterday after an absence of 3 years, due to a decline in food quality, service and an uptick in prices. However, we tried it again and all seems to have been righted. Don't know if there is new management, but the food is back to hearty and GENEROUS servings of well prepared and presented Cal-Mex coastal food. Great manager greeting (woman with purple hair) who seemed to keep the flow going with grace, speed and friendliness that will make you welcome. Server was excellent and the attentive refill and check ins were timely and unintrusive. I had the tuna tostada, and it was a bountiful serviing of seared tuna strips over a bed of greens, black beans(delicious, btw) and tortillas with an fabulous mango salsa on the side. Wife had the scallops taco, and while not cheap, were plentiful and perfect. Son had the halibut taco and his fish was even better than mine! Only negative is that the noise level is high, so not a place for intimate romance, but family friendly and you'll sit next to surfers taking a break and the after-church crowd coming for lunch, and the tourists who read these and decide they can't miss this fully restored icon - they are right!
