I use to coach a track team in Mo Val and had athletes from around So Cal coming to me to run this hill when we weren't down at the Lake on Sat. mornings. Great for hiking and working out. It use to be free to get in, but as everything now, nothing is free..

A nice short trip away from the city. Be on the lookout for Burros, they have warning signs, and the locals ask that you don't feed them if you see them. (this helps keep them away from the roads...and cars). The paved road changes to a pretty rough dirt road as you head up the mountain and once up you can park and hike. There were a lot of beer cans and graffiti. But the views were very nice.
