Easy to find. Room was good. Breakfast area not large enough for the number of people eating, but food fine.

Meh... I would have given this place a "poor" ranking if it wasn't for the size of the rooms. Very large and spacious with a bay window and chairs and small table.

The lighting in the bathroom was poor, the shower went from hot to cold and medium to low pressure intermittenly (sp?), the room was very warm, and we blew a circuit when using the TV and microwave.

As for breakfast, there were no tables available to sit at, no high chairs, and the muffins and bagels were stale. We ended up bringing food to the car and eating on our way out of town (even though there was a sign that said "all complimentary food must be consumed on premises". Provide some more tables and you'll have more patrons eating in your dining "area").

The koi pond was cool, but it looked boring for the fish. No plants, no tunnels, only a few rocks. Hmmm.

Thank you for your review regarding your stay at the Best Western Plus De Anza Inn. I apologize for the issues you wrote about and want you to know we are making changes to our tub faucets as well as reviewing options to expand our breakfast seating. Currently we offer trays so guests can go out to the pool area or back to their room to enjoy the complimentary breakfast. We rarely experience a tripped circuit breaker and again I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We appreciate your time and consideration.

We stayed one night in this hotel while traveling through California and while I will agree the breakfast ares is not wonderful but the staff are. The receptionist Rita is so pleasant and helpful with places to go. But the person who made this hotel one we will never forget is the housekeeper who found our holiday money that we had misplaced and handed it in thank you for being so honest and making our holiday go from being a disaster to a happy one. To the manager a big thank you for going to the trouble of getting our cash changed into a cheque and forwarding it on to our last hotel.

Stayed here based on TripAdvisor reviews and have no idea why it is rated so high by others. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were OK. The noise from the next room was unacceptable. We could hear every word of the conversations and the TV shows they watched. My priority at a hotel is sleeping and I was waken up a few times by the noise and was not very comfortable in the bed. The breakfast was the typical fare - corn syrup and white flour masquerading as cereal, bagels and muffins. Didn't particularly like the location either. The clerk at the front desk was very nice and checked on availability at other nearby Best Westerns for us, but it seems like they all have the noise problem so we just stuck it out. The price was reasonable and the room clean, so I would rate this average but would pay a little more next time for a better hotel in Monterey.

We booked this place based on the reviews and I guess for the most part they were pretty good. Not sure I would go back, as I think there might be better places to stay. I say this as the location was just okay. The pool is basically in the parking lot, but that was okay. The bed was good, but there is no air conditioning in this place. I did not know that before we went. It wasn't a crazy big deal, as we were given a fan and once we opened the windows it did cool down. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. I just didn't really love the location. Overall the rating is pretty accurate....I might try a few other places and then come back to this one....time will tell.
