The food here is good. It is a bit pricey but it is a classic bakery that is similar to chains of the same kind. Soups, sandwiches, salads, breads, pastries, coffees. There is no real standout. Just good solid food. The chips are an amazing local brand which is fun. The staff is somewhat robotic. The tables we not all clean but it was a busy day so maybe they had not the staff not clean. We will go back if walking by.

The chain shop in Menlo Park does not feel like a chain. It is full of locals. Service is friendly. No problem with special orders. Food is consistently good - I've been going for probably 10 years.

Tips:
If you are a frequent visitor, buy the gift cards at Costco. Pay $80 for $100 gift card.

Sign up for the frequent visitor program. You'll get a free lunch every once in a while, a free coffee, and a free loaf of bread.

Watch your emails for specials. 2 for 1 sandwiches. $3 off a sandwich.

They are happy to give you your deal at Menlo Park. No problem.

They truly make good sourdough! We often get them to take out to make sandwiches at home. However, the sandwiches that you can order at Le Boulanger are also quite good and tasty as well - there are about 10 or more hot and cold sandwich choices! The bakery area additionally has some good pastries for desert!

Stopped in Le Boulanger while shopping in Menlo Park. You order at the counter and then get a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. I got a tuna salad sandwich. So many places want you to order a tuna melt when all you want is a plain tuna salad sandwich. I modified it by asking for no mustard and for the bread to be toasted. This was no problem and they got my order correct. The tuna salad was plentiful and not too mayonnaise-y. It also came with lettuce, tomato, and onion. You can chose among sides of an apple, chips, or cole slaw. I enjoyed my lunch.
