Menlo Grill is a bit of a hidden gem in Menlo Park. The food is fabulous most of the time, with short rib as one of our favorites. We love that they allow you to bring in outside wine and do not charge a corkage fee. On a few occasions the food was not quite up to normal, but we have not been able to figure out why (have asked which chef was running the kitchen that night or if there were large catered groups somewhere in the hotel, but there seems to be no correlation). I'd say go and enjoy as the pricing is also very good for the quality of food.

This restaurant is great! We stay at the Stanford Park Hotel whenever we are in town and love the food and atmosphere at the Grill. Favorite tables are in the bar/lounge area- especially in winter when you can sit by the fireplace. An added perk is that they have no corkage fee when you bring in wine! The staff is excellent and the food delicious. Breakfast is ample and the menu is varied.

happy hour menu is very limited. of the two taco choices on the 4 item menu they had ran out of chicken at 35 minutes into the happy hour.
You have to order and hand carry your drinks at the mobile bar. You also have to order and pay for your food and they will bring to you.

The table settings are intermixed with dinner and therefore disjointed for happy hour. The guitar player singer was good but too far from where we were seated.
The bar is very dark and traditional. Hallway and bar did not smell pleasant.

Parking is not as easy as they say. Lots were full.

Food was good, prices seemed reasonable for a nice hotel. Even wine wasn't overpriced. Quiet atmosphere. Good bar.
