Stayed here for four days, due to work, but this hotel was an absolute pleasure.
Large rooms with classic decor and great room service. A super contemporary bar and restaurant - great for unwinding at the end of the day.
Whilst I didn't have time to enjoy it, there was a beautiful pool with ocean views and a lovely looking spa.
The staff were very accommodating and I was on the 'executive level' package which meant to you had free reign over the executive lounge, with complimentary breakfast, snacks throughout the day and alcoholic beverages.
Overall I'd recommend this hotel to all adults, I can't imagine it's that family-friendly!

Very nice hotel in marina del ray. Great hot tub and pool. All you would expect from a Ritz Carlton. There are not that many restaurants in the immediate vicinity but the views of the bay make up for it. Close to Santa Monica and many great attractions.

We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was spacious, very clean, and decorated with nice furnishings and a very comfortable bed. It's obviously an older hotel, as many on pieces of prime property like Marina del Rey are, and it's not a huge skyscraper. It's quaint, with 8 or 9 ft. ceilings and nice crown moldings, draperies, and amenities. The bath could use some simple updating (sink drain stoppers, etc.,) but was marble and perfectly clean. We felt like royalty in our huge room. Service at the concierge was over-the-top wonderful -- they arranged to have a rental car brought directly to the hotel for us in 10 minutes! Maps of the area and directions were readily available. At the gift shop, the store attendant went out of his way to find my husband a shirt in the right size. We left our "privacy" sign on the door, because we were only staying two nights and didn't feel we needed service, but chocolate was left hanging on the door for us anyway. The Plow and Hearth is beautiful (we didn't eat there), and the marina views are very nice. This hotel is a beautiful, quieter choice in the otherwise busy L.A.

Very nice place to relax and unwind.

Booked a massage and had dinner.

Food was very good, excellent wine.

They have a nice outdoor tub and swimming pool.

Service at restaurant can be veryyy slow at times, my PA joined me for a drink at the end and we had to wait 15 minutes to get the bill as all waiters were chatting with each other or checking their phone... Strange for a 5 star hotel.

Apart from that, loved the place.

The name Ritz Carlton means luxury and service. This property takes it to the next level. From the moment you arrive to your sad departure you will be treated to some of the best travel experiences you ever had.

Pros: location (10 minutes from LAX and right on the Promenade), rooms (just remodeled), service (everyone here is simply amazing), cleanliness, food and drink choices

Cons: certain gym equipment (it's being upgraded though)

If you need a place in LA for business or pleasure, go no further than the Ritz Carlton at Marina Del Ray. You'll be glad you did.
