While staying down the street at a Residence Inn, we researched restaurants on Open table that were near us and found Manhattan House. The food was excellent. You have to order the burrata and homemade sourdough bread. It's probably the best we've ever had. The salads were wonderful and the pasta bolognese was as tasty as we make at home. The wine list could have more decently priced wines. Other than that it was fantastic!

Stopped for a midweek dinner. The portions were large and the food was very good. The menu was not large but everything was very good. Especially liked the charcuterie board appetizer. Three of us shared it and could have been enough for a dinner. I also enjoyed the spaghetti with seafood. Service was excellent. Only downside was the loud noise level. Would be glad to return there again

I went here Monday night and had the Meatballs and 1019 Burger..... Each one was better than the first! The burger was juicy and filled with flavor. The lamb meatballs were delicious with pickled onions and a yogurt sauce glazed on the bottom of the bowl. The GM of the restaurant, Juan, was a pleasure and very welcoming to the establishment. A very good experience and I was visiting from Las Vegas, so if I'm in the neighborhood again, i'll be sure to stop by here again to try something else on the menu.

I you want a local MB experience away from the pier and the downtown date nights, go to MH. It is the locals. We have neighbors that go every friday night. They have great cocktails, very homey friendly ambience, and excellent food. They have a LONG bar, so you can mingle with neighbors, friends, and those that want to try somewhere else. We love MH. No reservation required just hang in the bar until a table opens up.

I met a friend for happy hour at Manhattan House and we sat at the bar. The cocktails were good - the bartender made a great Old Fashioned. In terms of the Happy Hour menu, it was disappointing. The "Caesar Salad with Grilled Prawn" was not a Caesar Salad but instead a mixture of romaine and arugula with some sort of light dressing (not Ceasar; no anchovy); and instead of a large grilled prawn or two being served, two miniature shrimp were placed on top of the salad. This was not a good deal - it was $8 more for "grilled prawn" and we got two little shrimp. The potato fingerlings were good but the happy hour price was the same as the menu price. I liked the vibe of the place and will probably return for an Old Fashioned; however, I think their menu needs to be revamped.
