Heard about this place being good so stopped for lunch. It is ok. Get a seat and order at the counter. Nice atmosphere and views of the ocean. Overlooking the PCH so you can see flash bikes etc. turning up.
The food. Its simple fare, but then it is cheap. You get what you paid for.
I had the chowder bread bowl which again was ‘ok’ but a little disappointing as i had much better for the same price in Pismo and Santa Cruz.
I think you eat here for the feeling and of course it is convenient being on the PCH.....

Thank Paul D

I live in the area and always wanted to try Neptune's Net. Gosh was I disappointed. We ordered the sampler platter for $29 and each of us had a cup of clam chowder. The clam chowder was the worst I've ever had. I couldn't even eat half of it. The sampler platter had clams, shrimp, Alaska white fish, calamari, a crab cake, scallops, and french fries. None of them were very good, and they were all small sized. They do have vinegar, tartar sauce and cocktail sauce that you can get at the condiment bar in little paper cups. That made it a little better.
This place is very popular for motorcyclists, and there seemed to be a bus of young adults who ate outside on the picnic benches. It made the atmospher fun on a pleasant day because you can see the beach. But if it's cold, the inside seating area is a bit like a cafeteria with deep frying oil smell. The service was quick. The price was a bit high considering what you get for the money. You order at the counter and pick it up when your number is callled after picking a table.
And don't even think about using the bathrooms. They are a bunch of porta potties in a shed. It was terrible. I won't be going here again.

This place is a throwback to the 1950's! No vegans, vegetarians, or health conscious people eating here. Take a day off of your healthy lifestyle and have some batter crusted Alaskan white fish deep fried - you'll remember the good old days.
It's a cool place for sure - come in find a table, get in line with all the other people, get your drink, and then place your order. Ten minutes later your food will be ready and your number will be called. Sit outside - slather hot cocktail sauce on your food - enjoy the Malibu vibe going down. You'll be full and feel good!

Standard tacos and burgers were fine. Fresh seafood counter is better. Great for eating out while visiting Lea Carillo State Park down the street.

This is a bustling little restaurant on PCH with a great ocean view. Inside and outside dining are options. We shared a fish and chips with the chips being sweet potato fries (our choice). The 2 pieces of fish were quite large and it was ample for the 2 of us for lunch. A very generous helping sweet potato fries which were delicious. Rest room facilities are porta-potties behind the restaurant. A small parking lot.
