“A great find!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 March 2012

Stayed for just one night in March 2012. We had a suite that overlooked the pool- with a kitchen/dining area, living room and two bedrooms/bathrooms.
Impeccably clean, very comfortable huge beds, lovely big showers, nice quality toileteries to use! It's the little things...
A great place to stay for Hollywood. Free parking, a goodie bag of sweets n treats on your arrival- we went a bit crazy and ticked almost everything on the list. They lasted for our whole wekk's trip following our stay at the magic castle!
a very short walk (one block) to hollywood blvd. great!

We stayed 2 nights in March 2012 and chose this hotel for location near the walk of fame and Hollywood attractions. It is a very close walk to the main street, about 3 or 4 minutes easy walk. The room was comfortable but dated, good value for money. The beds and pillows were outstanding! Breakfast was great by the pool each morning and the staff were very friendly and accommodating to any needs.

Room Tip: We had a room facing the road and traffic noise was hardly noticeable.

You will not find a place more willing to please than here. A welcoming drink, escort to room, and always a smile when we come through. We had a suite (108) that kept us back a bit from the street and pool area which made for good quiet. Decent pool, complimentary continental breakfast was a bit more upscale than most locations, unlimited snacks and drinks were a hit with the family. Easy walking access to Hollywood walk of fame makes for great location to get some sightseeing in. The interior decor can use work and they are a bit skimpy on the pots and pans if you want to be cooking (one pot, one fry pan, no strainer) which can make things a bit tricky but they certainly will do everything possible to make your stay a great one. Shower leaves something to be desired but it was hot and clean and toiletries were nice.

Thank you so much for writing this review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the service and breakfast. One note for your next visit; we do have complete sets of pots, pans, strainers, and other utensils and cookware upon requests. There should have been a card in the kitchen that mentions all of this...but it sounds like that card wasn't in your room, I'm really sorry about that. Also, for TripAdvisor readers who are considering staying here, if there are any utensils, cookware, etc that you need for the kitchen we will make sure to have it for you....just ask us either before or during your stay. If we don't have it, we'll go buy it and make sure it's in the suite for you.
Thank you again for staying with us. Please contact me personally next time and I'll make sure your kitchen is set up with everything you need to cook a great meal (as long as I'm invited to dinner...just kiddinng).

Sincerely
Darren Ross

Staying at the Magic Castle Hotel feels like you are staying in the apartment building from the TV show Melrose Place (which is awesome in my opinion). We had a really spacious apartment over looking the pool which is a refreshing change from small hotel rooms in chain hotels. It was clean, tidy and has everything you could need. The staff are fantastic, all extremely helpful and friendly. It's the little added bonus's that make this hotel a stand out though. Free snacks 24 hours a day, drinks, chips, lollies, chocolate whatever and unlimited. One day it was freezing cold and we came back to spicy apple cider in the lobby with biscuits. The staff found out we were on our honeymoon and they left a beautiful local bottle of wine for us named Honeymoon in our room. Every evening the staff leave a note in your room about the next days weather so you can prepare yourself and plan ahead. The staff genuinely care about the guests and go out of their way to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The location could not be better, a few minutes walk to Kodak theatre etc. I have stayed in stacks of hotels all over the world and think this one is one of the best. It might not be the flashiest or biggest but they make up for it with an exceptional service, fab location and all the little extra's. Highly recommended.
