The Shelter Hotel is very convenient to the Metro and to several Korean restaurants. We stayed there for 4 nights in a large bedroom. Kept the curtains closed because the windows face the building right next side. The place is quiet at night. No restaurant in the hotel and they provide an excellent WiFi service. Don't get turned off by the Shelter name because it doesn't resemble a shelter at all!

Room Tip: Corner rooms are larger with 2 windows.

We booked the hotel due to its proximity to friends living in the area, and stayed 4 nights. We were very happy with our choice - the hotel is very clean, with spacious modern rooms and very friendly and helpful staff.
The rooms are spacious and have everything you might need - comfortable bed, nice bathroom with a hairdryer, coffee making facilities (if you prefer tea - it is also available from reception, as well as refreshing cucumber- or lemon water in the lobby).
The hotel has a parking garage for just $20/day, is close to Hollywood and many major attractions in the area. The price for rooms is very reasonable considering the quality you get.
We will gladly stay here again, and will wholeheartedly recommend to everyone!

The hotel is well located, close to the "hot tourists points" of LA. The room is very good, comfortable bed and clean bathroom. However, we order to change some towels and receive some toiletry itens, and they never came. Moreover, the phone from front desk rang forever at night and no one picked up. Be aware that you also have to pay for parking ($30/night).

Room was clean and spacious, and bathroom too.

Check-inn was different to any I've had as it was just a desk and a person with information, rather than a reception with people.

Location was great, easy to KTown and any transport requirements too. Travel into downtown LA approx 20mins via Uber.

Wonderful place to stay in K-town. Checking in is a bit like checking into a hostel, person sitting at a desk with a laptop and copying your id. All the staff we encountered were nice and helpful. The room was large and clean. The windows opened which was nice. The elevator is a little slow. They have a pool, ping pong table, and outdoor sitting area. The wifi worked great. All in all a great place to stay and explore Koreatown.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the 4th floor.
