We had a great experience. Check in was quick. Bell service prompt. Room was very nice and comfortable although a little small for 2 adults and 2 kids. We were not there to stay in the room all day so it didn't matter. The Gym is very nice with a good view. The Pool is on the roof with Great views. The kids loved the pool, Its not really a kids pool being the W and all but the staff was great. There were 3 or 4 other families there as well. Taylor was our waitress and she was great with the kids. We went to the bar to hang out as well early evening and the bartenders were awesome. Ask for Chris he was great, as well as the Female bartender but I can't remember her name. Valet was very prompt. Our car was always waiting when we walked out. Breakfast in the restaurant is expensive but very good!
Overall, We would go back as a family 100% or as a trip with my wife. Great Location!!!

Room tip: Mid level is quieter than the higher or lower floors.

Hi John,

It sounds like you had the perfect Hollywood experience. While our atmosphere can feel mature, families are always have a great time with us. There is plenty enjoy for all ages - the wet deck seems to be a popular option. I look forward to passing your compliments along to our team. They'll be thrilled to hear they made such an impact on your stay. We look forward to seeing you next time.

Impressive lobby and rooftop pool - however always busy with typical hollywood types. Location is ok, metro station right outside however you would need it to go anywhere in LA as the city is so sprawling, pantages theatre across the road is pretty special.
Rooms are ok, quite dark and can be very noisy, especially if there is a party, event on at the hotel.
You get the feeling that unless you're a siliconed celeb you wont receive good service from anyone!

Stayed here in August for 4 nights. Good check in after long flight from UK. Rooms were great, cool but practical. Lobby and bar is fun, as is outside courtyard area. Had breakfast in Delphine restaurant a couple of times which was excellent. Taxi rank just outside if you need it and a Starbucks 1 minute walk. Easy to stroll down Hollywood Boulevard from here. Nice staff, friendly not over the top. Didn't use pool but looked fun. We joined the hotel group reward scheme for free and got free wifi (saved c total $120 for our 2 rooms). All good

Room tip: Had rooms on floors 2 and 6, no noise complaints

Glitzy luxury hotel with some notable omissions: No bathrobes, surprisingly skimpy bath towels, and slow wifi (costs $15 extra per day). The room included a recharging nest with charger tips, most of them obsolete. (None of them fit any iPhones or iPads purchased in the past 4 years). Our television must have had a remote control, but during a 4 day stay, we never found it. The 24-hour keycard locked exterior doors give the impression that W wants to protect its guests from the neighborhood rather than invite them to explore it.

We had a room on the 11th floor with a great city view but some noise from the music at the roof top pool. Breakfast package was worth it. Good wifi service in room and lobby. One of the most expensive hotels in Hollywood but you get what you pay for.

Room tip: stay away from the 11th floor to avoid the noise from the roof top pool and DJ
