I joined the Melting Pot Food Tour as an add-on for a tourism conference I was attending in LA. I didn't know we were going to Old Pasadena - a bonus when I found out. I was with a group of 12 people I didn't know well. By the end of the day we were chatting like old friends - great way to network when breaking bread together. The venues we sampled were welcoming and generous. It was like going to a progressive dinner party and learning about the town at the same time. The courses were chosen to give a good variety and satisfy without over-stuffing - there were stops for tea-tasting and olive-oil tasting in addition to food stops, and plenty of time to shop is something particularly caught your fancy. It was a walking tour - take good shoes. Burning calories between courses - bonus!
A group of good friends shared this wonderful tour for a special birthday gift. The pace and setting of the tour allowed us to walk and talk casually while we were finding our way to each new place. Our guide, Kendall, was excellent and provided insights and was delightful with each guest. The tastings were delicious and we left feeling like we had tasted some new and interesting tidbits--and left like we had plenty to eat. A great tour and I'm hoping to take my husband on the Market tour.
I took a group of retirees on their tour of Old Town Pasadena. Everyone loved it, and we are looking forward to the LA tour next year.
Our walking food tour was fantastic! The guide was really personable and knowledgeable and loved the stops we made. Took home to NY a great bottle of wine and some amazing champagne vinegar. Would highly recommend this tour to all.
Excellent tour 5 stars for the tour and the tour guide Barbara. Lots of stops and lots of food. We never got hungry. I recommend the tour for everyone. Looking forward to going on other tours.
LOVED the tour! We have recently discovered tours as an option of things to do while we visit various cities, and Renee's tour of the Farmer's Market was so wonderful. We nibbled on various foods from savory to sweet and got to see so much and learn so much about the area and it's history. I can't wait to take the other tours that are offered by them. East LA and Pasadena here we come!
