City break in LA for 6 days.
Walk of fame hostel is a great location with the metro right opposite so makes for easy commuting to city sites.
Our private room had shared communal bathroom which was on the second floor, so was a bit annoying in the middle of the night but not really a pain.

I've had never experienced staying in a hostel before and had a wonderful time here. Had booked myself 2 nights at this hostel. In fact 3 to be precise and since I checked in later the first day, the guy didn't really charged me for the 1st night which was really good of him. They have good breakfast and rooms. I had a my room at 1st floor and considering it was summer, it wasn't really hot. The rooms had good ventilation and they have few activities lined up for the entire week which they keep on updating. Also the location is bang on Walk of Fame right opposite to the Hollywood Metro station. Something that needs to be worked up is the entrance banner/hostel name which is hardly visible. It took me 15 minutes to find the place. Over all a good experience!!

Only down side is there is no elevator, you have to climb at least 10 steep steps.
advice : take the room farther away from front desk,to reduce the noise. Otherwise its quite, you can sleep well. Roommates were good and courteous.

There is no elevator so have to lug luggage upstairs. Also the luggage storage room has no key or anyone looking at it so anyone could take the stuff in the room. The room was good but walls are thin so can hear noises outside. Also the bunk beds are squeaky. Breakfast was very basic. There are smells to the rooms so need to air out a lot more. The location is great and convenient and have place to get hot and cold drinking water!

Our rooms and facilities are clean by our housekeeping department daily to ensure all guests can enjoy a clean environment while staying here at the hostel. This hostel is in a great location & easy to find just over the road from Hollywood Highland Station & the TCL Chinese Theatre.
The staff were very friendly & also helpful when i asked for information
I stayed in a 4 bed dorm which was spacey & the bed was decent.
The communal areas & the kitchen were well kept.
Location wise you are close to buses, trains, tourist things & so many good places to eat.
In Los Angeles when hotels can be expensive this is very good budget option!
