The view is beautiful and there is many possible hiking trails around, the park is huge.
Also in the observatory there is some interesting science exhibits that you should check out.

The new exhibits downstairs take you across the universe. You can check your weight on every planet in our solora system. You can see actually footage of Russian planetary landings. The theaters offers rotating shows during the day. My favorite exhibit is the Telsa Coil. Fascinating! Even got a "wet ear willy" from Einstein. Check it out. The view on a good day is also spectacular!

I've always liked astronomy, and this place is very interesting, you can actually use the telescope and see planets or stars, (we saw Saturn) has a lot of exhibits and my daughters loved it!

Absolutely spectacular view of Los Angeles. At night it's so beautiful. And inside the observatory are a lot of fun and interesting things to do considering admission is free.
