This is an old style Italian restaurant that is popular with the locals. What it isn't is an Italian restaurant for hipsters.....this is more an old school place for those seeking good pastas, salads, meats and bar drinks.

Went with a friend she had their salad special and I had their fish special and both were very disappointing
The salad was supposed to be topped with all kinds of meat, chicken and shrimp and in reality, those were
Puny and scarce, the fish dish was the same, a small scoop of purée with 2 broccoli florets and three small pieces of fish. Not good and not satisfying...

I've been here a few times & the food has always been good. On a scorching night recently, I had risotto with basil, tomato bits, bay scallops, & small shrimp. Very good flavor & texture. Caesar salad was also good, if lighter on garlic than in some other places. Pre-dinner, that's fine, as I don't always need a garlic-anchovy monster before a lightly-flavored entree.
This building has been around for a while, single story, set back from the street just enough a small parking lot. (There's plenty of street parking, too.) There is a small bar at the front. The dining area has booth seating in the front half & tables behind, in a covered patio.

The menu is large, perhaps too big for culinary excellence, but I've always had enjoyable meals. There are relatively few by-the-glass choices on the wine list.

Service can vary. I've gotten the occasional grump, but there's usually a friendly counterpart in the area to offset a sourpuss.

This is located very conveniently but far enough from Main St. to be out of "restaurant row." Whether or not this is a "romantic" restaurant depends entirely on the mix of other patrons on any given night. There may be family groups with small kids, though those are generally seated at tables in the rear. Booth seating away from the bar is normally quiet.

Overall a nice, quaint place. The waiters weren't pushy and received the order quickly with no drama. Didn't stay for desert, but sure it looked interesting.

This is a small but popular place with locals. They have a decent wine collection. We started off with a beet salad, a caprese salad and bruschetta. I had the sole all washed down with a nice Brunello . If you live in the South Bay you have already been here before. If not it's worth a try
