I loved the food!! The ambiance is pretty regular, nothing to be remembered. Would go back. If you like Middle Eastern Mediterranean food give this a shot.

The name of this restaurant is deceiving...the menu is varied, but the food is mainly delicious Persian food. Steaks, lamb shank, salmon are served along with Koubideh, seasoned ground sirloin and aash-e-reshteh, a delicious vegetarian soup. Desert includes their famous coconut cake and creme caramel as well as Baklava. Roya, owner and chef was classically trained and together with her husband owns and operates this delightful restaurant. On a recent visit for lunch with five friends I noticed that the space was not well frequented. This is a shame. The locals are missing out on wonderful food at very reasonable prices. Perhaps with so much competition in the area, Roya's is just not getting the attention it deserves. This is definitely a place to try if you have not already done so. You may not find the glamour and glitz of some other locales, but you will find excellent food at great prices and a warm, welcoming environment where you can linger to your hearts content.

We had read excellent reviews for this establishment and chose to dine on Valentine’s Day. That was probably the mistake. Their regular menu was not available (I was looking forward to duck). Instead they offered only a choice of two prix fixe options that featured only salmon, chicken, or steak, rather boring fare for a festive occasion. The Mediterranean option was described as “French inspired”. Having lived in France, we didn’t find it to be French in the least. The food was just okay, comparable to what would be served at a convention for a big group. The saffron rose water ice cream was the best part, but one would have thought that since it was Valentine’s that it’d be accompanied by a cookie or a candy or something memorable. There was little ambiance in this restaurant-no flowers, no candles, and they did nothing special for Valentine’s at all. It was noisy and we were seated at a table for two against the mirrored wall that was so cramped we had to ask the people on either side of us to move a bit so we could get into our chairs. I think they may have been expecting a bigger crowd, but the tables for four were unoccupied throughout our stay. Valentine’s Day may not have been the optimum occasion to visit this restaurant. Being foodies, with so many fine eateries in the vicinity, we’ll dine elsewhere for future engagements.
