Description: George's at the Cove is a renowned three-level dining destination located in the heart of La Jolla overlooking the Pacific Ocean and northern coastline. We offer three distinct restaurant and bar concepts – one fine dining and two casual – with stunning ocean views and award-winning cuisine. Known for its splendid rooftop setting, the popular George’s Ocean Terrace – complete with a newly expanded and elevated bar – offers casual al fresco fare for lunch and dinner that is perfectly complemented by sweeping ocean views. Recently reinvented from floor to ceiling, the all-new George’s Level2 – located on the second level – is elevating the craft of cocktails with housemade ingredients and handcut ice. Featuring all the classics and innovative modern creations, like the signature Sea3, Level2 offers a variety of cocktails well-suited to any taste. On the lower level, George's California Modern is a contemporary fine dining restaurant and bar featuring seasonally-driven California cuisine. Guests are invited to explore “San Diego on a plate” through a la carte or tasting menus inspired by the lifestyle, ingredients and sense of place that is San Diego. Whether celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to enjoy the San Diego lifestyle to its fullest, George’s at the Cove is an essential part of any visit to the region.

The go to place for a sunny day. Excellent drinks, over the top servers and great ceviche. Very unique food and drink menu. Beautiful views of the cove too!

View was amazing but food was awful. Grilled octopus appetizer was chewy and cold . My husband's clams were not opened. It seemed as if the food was prepared earlier that day . Bathrooms were filthy too .

Ate here 4/1/18. We’ve eaten here many times, every visit to La Jolla, but last night was the worst. We are easy to please and were very disappointed with food and service. Got a great table. We ordered the skirt steak and salmon. My husband asked if I could substitute something for the onion rings and the waiter was very rude about it. Maybe he’d had a long day but it was no excuse. My skirt steak was extremely greasy with only two pieces of meat. The smoked potato purée had good taste but was swimming in oil. When we went over our bill we noticed we were charged $1.50 per drink for “rocks”. In all our years we’ve never had that charge. Crazy! We’ve always made this a two nights out of our week choice but we will never go back.

We ate on the upper level, while it was crowded it wasn't overly loud. Food was very good, service was even better. My wife went to the bathroom right before they served our main courses, waiter saw she wasn't there and came by and brought her food back to the kitchen to keep it warm (cool spring evening). Little things like that are a welcome sight in today's service industry. Stayed after in the bar downstairs and had nice conversation with some other diners and the bartenders.

Call ahead for reservations.
