Testfully decorated, this hotel is located within a walking distance to cliffs and beautiful long beach. The food quality is reasonably good. The staff are helpful, the place is tidy and the room was large enough to work indoors. The internet connection was also good.

Came to Estancia for a conference. It's a really nice hotel. Room (380) that we stayed in had a nice view of the garden and fountain.

The bed linens and bath towels were really nice and plush. They provide "Fresh" toiletries which are high quality.

The pool bar was closed when we were there. The gardens are beautiful.wirh numerous plant species and perrenials. We didn't take advantage of the spa nor gym. The food was terrific.

We met with Cory the bartender at Trinitas Wine Bar for the Tuesday night wine tasting. He is knowledgeable and fun to chat with. We spent two nights at the bar for the delicious turkey burger and wine...and to talk with Cory. We would have spent a 3rd night there, but he was off.

The hotel is perfect for business functions. It's location near La Jolla Downtown and San Diego makes it a good choice for a vacation as well. Make sure to stop in at Trinitas to eat, drink, and chat with Cory!

This resort is a great place to stay! Fantastic breakfast buffet on weekends with a wide variety of hot breakfast choices. The venue was like a beautiful oasis with lots of gardens and Spanish courtyards. There were multiple wedding and other events going on and it was set up where you couldn't hear noise from the events. Beautifully laid out where you can find privacy throughout the resort. They have a gorgeous heated pool and hot tub with a couple fire pits that were enjoyable in the cool San Diego evenings. The hotel was very clean and the employees were friendly and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay! The location is convenient to lots of cool areas including downtown San Diego, La Jolla beaches, Torrey Pines beach and State Park and Del Mar beach. I highly recommend this place!

Hotel is beautifully located and has beautiful nicely kept grounds . Specious rooms, very clean, very comfortable beds, good daily cleaning service.

Nice spa , specious, I had a manicure and want to specially thank Anna for the extremely caring service. Very rarely one can find such level of care coming from another state and staying at the hotel .

The wine testing bar was good.

The pool area is very nice with drinking water offered throughout the grounds . Very nice on the hot day . Nice pool bar.

However, overall service was very uneven. It almost feels as management needs to make adjustments to make the hotel stand by the image that it is striving to produce .

Room service failed to process the breakfast order. Took the order but did not pass it to the kitchen . There was however a small charge for the room service. It was taken off after my request upon the check out. The girl at the check out was very nice but did not know how to take the charge off properly and had to call her manager for help. I also had to remind about the manicure bill from the day before . Something that should have been processed by the check out time.

Happy Hour at the restaurant does not really give any discount and it's not obvious until you get the bill. Suggest not to advertise happy hour at all, people, who stay at the hotel will come anyways and pay $9 for a drink, $8.33 does not make sense and just gives an impression of a misrepresentation.

Hotel gives out a nice bottle of wine but charges for parking are $ 25 per night ! Suggestion is not to give out wine but reduce parking fees because this is what guests will remember : it's not downtown LA so $50 for 2 days stay feels very excessive, and could prevent people from coming back with other hotels options available .

Spa informed that they change prices for the weekend services by $30 increase per treatment , something that I never saw before anywhere. It gives an impression that one is taken advantage of because of the weekend stay. Advertise a full price and give discounts during the week. You will get a much different response and give a totally different impression for services .

Overall : very nice hotel ; marketing , management adjustments are needed to tighten up the services plus additional staff training will help.

Fabulous property with all-around great service and amenities. This was a last stop on a west coast road trip from Seattle to San Diego, where my husband played at Torrey Pines and I chilled. Loved the coffee shop just off the reception desk, and the all-day lunch/dinner at Mustangs and Burros. I'm not a pool person, so I can't tell you anything about that other than I heard it was great from people who like that kind of thing. The spa looked nice -- but again, I didn't experience it personally. The valet guys were friendly, helpful, swift and organized. The front desk people were friendly and professional. Housekeeping somehow managed to sneak in during the hour I was gone in the morning to grab a yogurt parfait and iced tea from that cafe off the front desk, and I came back to a clean room before expected. This place is just great. There were weddings going on, and other events, and it all seemed so well organized and yes, it was a tad noisy in my room from some of these events, but I have custom earplugs and advise all travelers to go to your local audiologist and get some. If you're sensitive to noise, or you have a snorer in your life, you will be happy. And stay here if you're in San Diego.
