Great location! On the beach with endless ocean views. The condo was spacious, clean, the kitchen was well stocked. The 2 bathrooms were a real plus.
Our English Bulldog, Sam, loved the elevator. He wants one in our Mesa, AZ home.
We recently planned a trip to visit La Jolla as our son is a grad student at UCSD. I had researched hotels and vacation rentals for our stay. We realized it would be cheaper to rent a condo than a hotel as we were inviting another family member to join us. I was a little leery of renting online as we had never been there before so I checked out many websites and reviews before we booked. Our son also drove by the address,457 Coast Blvd., Unit # 503 to check it out for us. I researched the property management company , SeaBreeze, and also called them to book it. They were very helpful with any questions we had.
The self check in process was easy and painless; we just followed the directions that were emailed to us to access the lockbox, retrieved the keys, parked in the parking garage and went up the elevator to the condo. The views were gorgeous! Just like in the online photos, which did surprise me. The ocean views were out the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom windows. We could hear the ocean all the time-it was right across the street. The condo was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. The beds and furniture were all very comfortable and looked new. The best part other than the view was that it was right across from the tide pool beach and a block or so away from the Children's Beach. We could also walk (up the hill) to many shops and restaurants. We were very pleased with the entire experience and would definitely rent it again.
The only cons-no A/C, which we knew, and it happened to be a warm spell while we were there. But with the windows open and the ceiling fans going it was comfortable. The parking garage was a little tight, you just have to be careful in there. The rental price was very good for the area and accommodations, however, it is in La Jolla and is higher than where we stay in Florida (expected). The building was not brand new, and some of the woodwork here and there was not in the best shape probably because of the beach proximity. Things like that do not bother us, but in reading reviews of some places I have noticed some people are very picky about stuff like that. Really, the condo and building were very, very nice and I would recommend to anyone. We hope to return!
