It was our first experience staying at an onsen hotel. Daiichi Takimotokan is a very famous one. We are staying for one night. The room is a traditional Japanese style with tatami as our bed. The staff will make the tatami for us when it was the time for sleep. The room is spacious. We were like having a small home instead. It has a set of desk and table. The breakfast menu is very complete. We try the onsen of course. The outdoor pool is very cool. The indoor pools are big. We can wear yukata in the hotel area. This one is cool too. We would definitely stay in this hotel again someday.

My wife and I re-visit this long-established onsen resort offering different types of hot spring indoor and outdoor pools at the end of a recent business trip to Hokkaido. While the Japanese room is spacious with traditional atmosphere to enjoy, amenities seem outdated; the buffet dinner offers a variety of Japanese & western foods, but real standout is certainly the onsen to enjoy mutiply times!!

We enjoyed our visit to Noboribetsu and the Dai Ichi Takimotokan in January. The hotel is a little older but still well maintained and in a great location to enjoy the Hot Springs.
The local area is also a nice quaint town to walk around with great Izakaya restos and the very best seafood

Indoor and outdoor pool. Room is spacious nice and comfortable for 4 adults. But the buffet dinner can be improve. Food just average. The snow crab meat is tasteless and not fresh. So don’t get too excited if you’re paying for the price to eat free flow of snow crabs.

A very big hotel but not excessively crowded. Food was good and a great atmosphere. Real standout is the onsen - I counted 16 different baths plus three massage waterfalls, two footbaths, a steam room and a sauna. Plus you're allowed to drink - beer or sake (hot or cold) - in the three outdoor baths. If you're an onsen lover like I am there's nowhere else to stay in Noboribetsu
