We had expected to see a church, but we saw a "wonder" I walked with my wife in the rain through the church. it seemed we were walking in the dream world.

Karuizawa boasts of local sights of minor as well as major importance and this stone church does not fall easily into a category. In India, for example, Stone churches and temples would be cut out of rock and be of historical value but in Japan these are mainly special buildings which serve western-style wedding parties ! Nevertheless with a visit !!

This stone church in Karuizawa is a very beautiful structure. Simple and unassuming but stunning and breathe taking. The interior is astounding. No photos allowed inside the church. So I sat on there for minutes to take in the view and feeling. There is creeping vines along the sides with water trickling down. The atmosphere is so serene that it takes a lot of effort to leave the church.

This church is located at Ibaraki and it is besides No one’s Recipe.

There is a wedding going on when I visited the place. This place is also great for phototaking as the view is simply amazing

we "found' this place by accident and enjoyed the place - inside and outside. The building is very interesting from each angle you look at it.
