Stayed here for two nights with our 9 year old daughter and absolutely loved every minute of our stay! From check in to check out the level of service from the staff was brilliant. We had one of the suites on the 4th Floor - so much space and such comfortable beds. The views overlooking the pool area and the ocean were breathtaking.

Breakfast both mornings was very nice - a small, but adequate choice available on a menu, again you can't fault the service from the staff.

The beach and pool areas are just perfect - the staff work tirelessly all day to keep the areas immaculately clean. There are a few beach vendors strolling up and down the beach but they weren't really an issue.

We had lunch both days by the pool and the food was delicious - best fish cakes ever!!!!!

This is a very new hotel and there is a lot of development happening in the Otres 2 area, Naia Resort is doing a great job and in our opinion is definitely the resort of choice at Otres 2 - the only negative was that there wasn't very good hot water supply in the shower, but wasn't too much of an issue for us.

Thank you Naia Resort - we just loved our stay!

Dear Sharon

Thank you for your comments and Naia Resort is very pleased that your stay with us was to your satisfaction - we are glad you liked the breakfast and the fish cakes especially for lunch.
The staff work as said tirelessly to maintain the resort in top condition - and are proud of where they work
I will have our maintenance team have a look at the shower - and inspect the water temperature.
We wish you well - and hopefully see you again at some stage
Best Regards

This hotel is located opposite the beach and is truly beautiful. The rooms are well kept and the food is great. The beach is very clean, the sunbeds and tree seats are great. I would recommend staying at this hotel. Five of us stayed in suite after a motorbike expedition around Cambodia and before a trip to one of the islands.

Dear Bigmaddi

Thank you for taking time out to write your review - and I apologise for the late response - as the hotel has gone through some management changes.

I am pleased that the rooms and the hotel in general were to your liking - and apologise for the cold showers - The hotel was at that time experiencing some issues with the hot water system - which has since been rectified

The hotel looks forward to seeing you in the future should you be in Cambodia again - and as said thank you for your kind words - and feedback - as we take all feedback as constructive and work to improve on our services through these feedbacks

Thank you
Kind regards

I have to start this review by saying Sophia, one of the breakfast/cafe staff, was the absolute highlight of this stay. She goes above and beyond to answer any questions and is truly amazing at her job and brought a real kindness and light to our trip, especially in the aftermath of what I'll mention below. Generally the standard of the resort is very good - great breakfast, nice pool, big, clean rooms.

However, several unfortunate things occurred during our stay. A young father and son tragically drowned on the beach, one of six drownings in the area, and there were no signs to warn of the riptide that caused this anywhere and guests were not warned of the dangers of this unless they specifically asked or saw the tragedy occur. There is no lifeguard on duty at this beach, which is not the fault of the hotel but Cambodian authorities and is the same throughout the country.

To a lesser extent, our fan in the room was very close to becoming detached from the ceiling above our bed, and we were also briefly trapped in a broken lift which didn't seem that out of the ordinary judging by the staffs reaction. We also asked the reception to book us a night bus to Ho Chi Min, which upon Goolging the companies name (Rith Mony) and due to the experience that followed we learnt were among the most dangerous/scamming companies in the business. Whether they knew this or not, I'm not sure.

I'd recommend staying here as it's one of the best on the beach, but as with travel in any country you're not familiar with, do your research to be best prepared.

Room tip: Chose a sea facing room for less road noise.

Dear Zara M

First of all I would like to apologise on behalf of the hotel for this very late reply - I have recently taken over as GM - and have been looking at all reviews and when I came across yours I wanted to check the details before replying.

Thank you for mentioning Sophia in your review- she is certainly very helpful with all guests and has a wealth of knowledge to share with guests
I apologise for the room fan - which has since been fixed
I have instructed the staff to stop using the Rith Mony bus company to get to HCMC

In regards to the tragic drowning just of the beach from Naia - our hearts go out to the family and relatives of the victims
The beach area does have some strong rips during the turning of the tides - and I have since provided information in all the guests rooms advising of these dangerous rips and that there are no life guards on the beach
The hotel has installed life saving rings at the beach bar - and has had several staff do CPR courses in light of this tragedy and are in the process of having warning signs made up to alert the guests to the dangers of the rips
We are also monitoring the beach as much as possible - but individuals are also being requested not to swim to far out to sea - and avoid the waters when strong currents prevail.
Again our sympathies and condolences go out to the family and friends of the victims

This incident should not deter people from visiting Cambodia or Otres - as the beach is one of the best in SEA - and we are always looking at ways to improve the area - and also have formed a beach committee that is working closely with the Kingdom of Cambodia and the government

Once again thank you for your review
Kind Regards
