Owner description: Zichichi Family Vineyard is a small, family-owned winery in the northern section of Dry Creek Valley. We produce extremely limited, estate grown wines in our exquisite Dry Creek valley facility. We specialize in Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon. A visit to Zichichi includes a unique and special barrel tasting of our favorite wines. Come enjoy a picnic on our spacious rear deck, high on the hill, overlooking the vineyards and mountains in the distance.

This winery shares the same surname as my maternal grandparents. We have been purchasing wine here for several years. The owner is very pleasant and knowledgeable. The workers are very nice and friendly too. The view is amazing, the fact that we do barrel tasting and purchase next years wine is fun and we save money ordering in advance. The dry creek valley is beautiful in the spring.

We visited during the Winter WINEland weekend, January 13-14, 2018.
We enjoyed the barrel tastings and found the whole concept of the "wine futures" very interesting but not for us. Fortunately, we were able to buy and depart with an actual bottle of Zin from the Block vineyard for $40. We enjoyed meeting and talking with the owner. The balcony patio overlooking the vineyards is lovely. Other wineries visited and enjoyed over the weekend: J. Rickards, Papapietro Perry, Amista, West, Martorana, Mill Creek, Armida, and Porter Creek. And we stayed once again in our favorite Glen Ellen at our favorite Jack London Lodge and gratefully they survived the October wildfires and are doing well. Do not be afraid to visit the wine country. It's as wonderful as ever!

stopped in here after picking up a picnic at the general store, the owner poured us some wines and let us enjoy our tasting out on their deck. The view is impressive, and on a weekday, we were the only ones there. Barrel tasting was interesting they have some 110+ year old vines making some mature wines. I bought the young Zin though, which was easy drinking. They credit your tasting if you buy a bottle - only one credit per bottle/person so if there are 2 of you, you gotta buy two bottles or join the club. most of their wines sell out via futures, so they're not in a huge rush to push anything. would consider going back, at least for the view

We discovered Zichichi about ten years ago when Steve was just befginning his winery. Could only taste from the barrel and have become ardent followers ever since. Lovely tasting room in the vineyard, great views and unhurried atmosphere. If you like smooth zins, this is your place.
