We frequent Healdsburg area 3 to 4 times a yr and decided to take a drive out Highway 128. We came upon Medlock Ames and stopped in. It was late morning on a Sunday. Our host John was very knowledgeable about the wine and the area (he grew up there). The wines were terrific and we purchased 6 chards. The tasting room is a combo of hit and retro. We really enjoyed it and look forward to going in the summer and hanging with some wine on their beautiful patio/grounds. Great addition to our regular stops.
After the tasting room closes, the other side of the room is a cocktail bar that brings in the locals after the tourist are back in their rooms. Might be worth checking out.
