What a wonderful place that has it all. Great caring staff, just a cheerful atmosphere all the time. We stayed in the two bathroom (new cabin), it was wonderful. Though we caught several days of snow the stay was peaceful, great food at the restaurant, they had smores in the evening & live band in the bar Saturday night! I can't wait to go back in the spring/summer months. The 7-mile rd into evergreen can be tricky in the snow, but they lined up all the people leaving Sunday morning and we followed the snow plow. They offer to help take off chains at the end of the road etc. The staff go above and beyond. The grounds are beautiful and plans for a pool and hot tub opening this spring. Great place for families etc.

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad place to stay here, I do like the new cabins of course because that's where we stayed.

We loved this place! It's about a 45-minute drive to Yosemite Valley but closer to the northern part of the park and only about 20-minutes from Hetch Hetchy. The cabins are very spacious and the whole place is an idyllic rustic setting with very friendly staff! The food in the restaurant/tavern was particularly amazing. We expected tavern/pub-like food but this was closer to 4-star fine dining with reasonable prices! Loved it and would definitely stay there again!

Staying in and around Yosemite is expensive, so you might as well get a little ambiance for your dollar. Since you almost certainly have a car (this area is difficult without one) you pretty much have to resign yourself to driving good amounts of time to get to the attractions (hikes, views, whatever) and Evergreen is not that far away. Plus you get to drive rockin HWY 120 into the park (probably my favorite approach after Tioga). The lodge itself blends in with the woods, in fact you are as faux-rustic as you probably want. Lakes, animals, lots of wood everything, this is after all right in the middle of the forest. There is all the comforts one would expect from a hotel room (hot water, linens, etc) but you get to stay in a cabin. I found everything during my stay to be perfect from the service, to the cost, to the amenities (the bar is awesome and not that overpriced) this place is one of my favorite places to stay with folks who want modern comfort, but don't have the money (or didn't make an early enough reservation) for the NP lodges, but still like to feel they are in the great out of doors. Highly recommended.

We spent 2 nights here after Presidents' Day Weekend and loved it. Beautiful, peaceful setting. Our 2-bedroom cabin was clean and cheerful--felt brand new, really. Our only complaint was that walls were a bit thin and we could hear a baby crying (a lot) in the unit that shared a wall with ours the first night. The tavern, restaurant, recreation room games, movie night, nightly s'mores, Serious Radio in the cabin, sunset lookout point...all very nice touches. Great place for a family with children, and a short (40 mn?) drive down into Yosemite Valley. We also enjoyed the short trip to Hetch-Hetchy. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

Room Tip: If you like to sleep in, ask for quiet neighbors--walls are thin.

We had an excellent stay here, our cabin was immaculately clean, very comfy bed & well equipped for our 2 night visit. We ordered the local beer & pretzel pack in advance, which was waiting for us chilled nicely. We had such a relaxing time here, minimal light pollution & dead quiet. The bar/restaurant serves great beer and very tasty food. I had the best steak I've ever eaten here, it has ruined me! I'll always be comparing other steaks to the magnificent plate of food I was served. Breakfast was excellent too, a great start to the day.
