Description: For centuries the English Inn has earned a great reputation for friendly faces, cozy rooms and cheery firesides. As soon as guests come to the Inn, the charming hosts and hostesses run to greet them. In front of a crackling fire one can partake of good hearty fare - the tankard is always full - the spit hung with roasting beefs - and a table heaped with sweets and such. The Inn Keepers of the Summit House are inspired by this custom to create an hospitable place where friends can meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside. To one and all, welcome!

Another great find from Trip Advisor reviews! Upon finding this online, I called for a same day reservation for 1 person. They were gracious to fit me in, with a prime spot and wonderful, caring service. All this while they were packed and jammed with holiday gatherings of families, friends and co-workers. My server Marcia was fun, helpful (thanks for the great recommendation on a good California red wine) and provided just the right amount of interaction.

I enjoyed the beautiful Christmas decorations, scenic view at sunset, and incredible piano player! A relaxing dinner of wonderful flavors included Salad Noel, Prime Rib with creamed corn, creamed spinach and Yorkshire pudding...and whipped creamy horseradish that was airy and sharp. I also indulged in profiteroles and a nice cup of coffee.

After a long work day, this was a very special treat before leaving the west coast. I can’t wait to come back, and return to The Summit House.

Thank Linda S

Lovely area, magnificent sensibly valued sustenance, recommend reserving a spot straightforwardly, we got an early reservation, yet when we had completed there were numerous many individuals holding up. Semi formal, and great neighborly staff

Been going to this restaurant for years now, and my family makes their corn for every holiday! Summit House is a beautiful restaurant for a date, or special occasion. It's on a hill overlooking the city and the drive up is just as beautiful as the restaurant inside. The crowd skews a bit older and the men often wear sport jackets, women in nice dresses. Not a requirement, but definitely a place you want to look a bit nicer at.

The food is great, nothing to call home about. HOWEVER, the corn is delicious and even better when you make it at home. They have recipe cards in the front. The difference is that the recipe card calls for a layer of parmesan cheese on top of the corn and for whatever reason, they don't put that on when they make it in the restaurant. Whatever the case, i highly recommend grabbing one of those cards on your way out :)

This restaurant is an excellent spot to celebrate a special occasion. High up on the hilltop in Fullerton with a great view of the surrounding area. My family decided to come here for my birthday, albeit two days late because we wanted to wait til Wednesday when they have their prime rib night at a discount. Everything turned out perfect, the food, the service, and the ambiance, just perfect! Loved their creamed corn! I even got a special dessert for my birthday. It was certainly a memorable experience.
