Went here for a walk with my wife and as we hiked up a trail we heard a grunt, a sigh, and movement. Realized we had accidently came across a couple sleeping right next to the trail. Scared the heck out of us and we immediately left.

If you have a half hour or so to walk off a great lunch or dinner check this place out. Secluded and quiet when we visited. Some areas a little challenging but a beautiful little spot east of town. Wish we could have explored more but one of the party had a sore ankle and could not handle some of the terrain.

This park isn't the easiest place to find. It is located in the housing part of Fort Bragg and you would never guess it is a park of such magnitude from the parking. It looks like a dead end rail with brick parking spaces, and you walk down a trail with houses on both sides. At first it seemed sketchy, but once you make it to the stairs it is a whole different world. There is hiking and giant red wood trees, a small waterfal and lovely stream that runs through the entirety of the park. Very serene with lots of greenery that it not often seem near the beaches of the city. It does offer a few picnic tables, but just a warning if it has or is raining be sure to wear appropriate shoes because the dirt can easily turn to mud. This park is utterly beautiful! It feels like you stepped out of the city and inot the forest. I owuld not recommend going at night as I did not see any lighting and there were a few homeless people wandering around the park when we visited near susnet. But over all it is a must see and a great change of scenery if you want to see something other than ocean.

It's a sweet little forest with redwoods, ravines, and various bridges over the creek which goes into Pudding Creek. Nice to climb around, but there's also wide trails with stairs for relaxed enjoyment.

Nice walk after a day in the car. Needed something to do for half an hour of so. Plus, geocaching was possible there.
