“Prefect intro to Sonoma County”

Diana at the Case Ranch gave us the warmest welcome and introduction to California, We stayed in the cottage out the back of the main house with the hot tub and views of the garden and orchard - where the most amazing apple juice comes from at breakfast - don't choose the orange!

The room was fabulous, quiet and secluded and always cleaned and clean robes for the hot-tub provided.

The communal breakfast spread was a real highlight when we would get to meet travelling Americans staying in the main house (about 8 in total round the dining table!) with recommendations of where to go in California, on top of Diana's insight for the surrounding area including the smaller vineyards.

Having a special diet, I was catered for without fuss, and Diana organised with my boyfriend suprise birthday treats for me, dinner reservations and vouchers for the local wineries, all before we arrived.

Overall, it was the best place we stayed in California and we did not want to leave!!!

  • Liked — Diana - her hospitality (and the apple juice!)
  • Disliked — No fresh milk in the fridge

This is a lovely place. My daughter and I stayed there for two nights and were sorry to leave. Diana does all she can to make you feel welcome. She is a font of information about the area, the best restaurants and can direct you to the best little wineries that are off the main tourist track. The rooms are all lovely, spotless and comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious. There are many nice touches, including the home-baked cookies Diana puts out every afternoon. You feel like you are staying with friends. I highly recommend this property.

My husband and I rarely travel partly because are really picky about where we stay. But the Case Ranch Inn, we both felt, was absolutely wonderful. The room we stayed in was small, but the bed was very comfortable and the decor both charming and immaculate. The whole place is just lovely. The grounds are peaceful and well kept, with interesting gardens, fruit trees, and shaded places to sit and relax. The breakfasts were scrumptious. The innkeepers were truly nice people, friendly and easy going, there when you need them, but also quiet and mostly out of your way. The neighborhood was very quiet, even though it was a Saturday night in the middle of summer. We heard only the crickets in the evening. We will definitely go back.

What a wonderful place to get away from a hectic schedule. The rooms and grounds offer a quite retreat and the meals were wonderful. Diana is a great host and knows quite a bit about the area. She went out of her way to help us make reservations and find our way around. I highly recommend Case Ranch Inn and will be back soon.

What a wonderful experience. Two glorious days in the Russian River Valley! Case Valley Ranch = Diana... She makes the experience. Rooms are great, breakfast is great and Diana is exceptional. She helped us make great dinner reservations and we felt totally at home when at Alan and Diana's home. We will be back! You can't go wrong at Case Ranch. We, also, really enjoyed the other guests.
