My friends and I stayed at the Pink Lady in October for my birthday. We are a mixed group, some single, some partnered, and we all had exactly what we wanted from our weekend. The Pink Lady is located at the north end of Old Town Eureka, so walking distance to everything you might like to do. We walked downtown for coffee and bagels in the mornings, walked all around town shopping in the afternoon, and went downtown for dinner and drinks in the evening. Humboldt Bay Bistro is right around the corner, and is quickly becoming a Eureka favorite with its excellent food and views of the Bay. The Pink Lady itself is quirky inside, lots of mismatched furniture and carpet...and totally adorable in every corner. Plenty of bathrooms for privacy and great showers and clawfoot tub. Beds completely comfortable and lots of extra blankets. Not too much in the kitchen, though, if you wanted to cook in (we didn't, so it wasn't a big deal). Not too many pots and pans, and a small cooking space. Lots of clean towels, the systems such as heating worked perfectly, as did the WiFi. The best part was that we ALL said the bedrooms were completely quiet inside, even with all of our people going their own ways at different times--you just didn't hear anything inside the bedrooms, which was truly excellent. The back yard is huge and lovely, but was missing any form of seating. We still enjoyed it, sitting on our beach towels drinking wine, but the new owner might want to invest in a patio set in the future. We were also visited by some spirited club members from the Ingomar Club across the street--they were funny, sweet, and endearing. We will absolutely be back, maybe each and every year. The Pink Lady is a sure thing--you'll love it.
