We loved our time at Villa Akrotiri. Having spent a couple of weeks island hopping between Naxos, Santorini and Crete, the space, size and view of the beach 20 metres below still stay firmly in our memory.
We stayed as a family- 3 children, 2 adults and the villa is a huge living space.
It is arranged over two floors, with a very large open plan lounge and dining space on the first floor, plus kitchen (with dishwasher, large fridge freezer, oven). Outside, a wide balcony runs round two sides of the house, with dining table, sunloungers, hammock.
Upstairs, there are three bed rooms and a mezzanine area with bookshelves, seat. One of the twin roms is en suite and has two balcony areas, looking onto the mountains and the sea. The other twin and double share a large balcony with view onto the beach below. They share a large bathroom.
The rooms were all large, nicely decorated and felt very homely. The villa also has an underground parking area.
The big 'selling point' of this villa is the location...having its own beach at the end of the garden and a private location, with only a couple of farms for company.
The beach of Pachia Ammos has crystal clear water and the kids enjoyed playing in the surf most days. Being able to walk out of the door, down the steps, 20m down the drive and step onto the beach was fantastic and watching the waves or the sunset from the balcony never got boring!
Angeliki's service was second to none- replying quickly to every email and taking the time to welcome us personally at the villa.
The only things to be aware of if renting Akrotiri are that it is a 20min drive up a winding road from Naxos town- but is easy to find and benefits from the rural location.
There is no aircon in the house, but it does have a constant breeze blowing through.
While staying, we also went up the north coast road to Apollonas and to Ammitis beach and the beaches near to Naxos town. And I climbed the mountain behind the villa one day (Mt Koronos)!
There are few places that have their own secluded beach, huge living space, views of the sea and mountains and a peaceful location with no one passing by. Villa Akrotiri is one of them. We will be back!
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Akrotiri. It is in a great location and has incredible views. It was clean, spacious and well equipped. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and helped us to make the most of our stay on Naxos. We would definitely be happy to stay there again!
A huge villa in a lovely location perfect to escape the world and relax. There are patios and balconys all around and right next to the sea. We will definitely visit again.
This house, as you can see in the pictures, is really beautiful: very big and confortable, fully equipped with everything you need. Outside a spacious terrace and a wonderful view on the sea and on the most beautiful sunsets ever seen! Very quiet and peaceful, we loved everything there.
Angeliki and her husband are very nice and caring, we really suggest Villa Akrotiri!
My second stay here with 2 good friends and 3 whobjoined us for a week. We were there for the hottest day of the year and the first rains. A spacious and wellbfurnished home from home. A beautiful scene of mountains or sea from every window. Peaceful and tranquil but close enough to drive to the bustle of the chora.
