Grand Avenue has many interesting store and some fine restaurants but the main attraction during the summer is Cruising Grand when all the classic cars come into town to show their stuff. You can see from Ferrari to Classic Corvette. It stsarts after 3-4 PM and runs from April to September.

We recently stayed at the Welk Resort. Escondido is a short drive. One trip we ate at H Brothers on a Saturday afternoon. Please read review. Not a lot of activities at that time. The second trip was on a Friday night. Unknown we happened upon a Friday night Cruise In. Grand avenue was the place to be. We ate at Filippi's pizza. Please read review. After dinner we enjoyed walking looking at the cars. There are a variety of dining and shopping venues. It's a Grand Avenue

This area has seen some great times and has lots of character. There is a glimmer of revitalization and recreation of the area. There are lots of eclectic stores and shops, and the city is poring lots into keeping events coming in to the area. A great place to check out and to stroll along.
