“One of the best kept secrets”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 October 2011

The Crown City Inn in Coronado has to be one of the best kept secrets in town! We stayed there for four nights and loved it. It's an older property, but has been updated and freshly painted. It was spotlessly clean and though not right on the beach, anything in Coronado is within walking distance. There is a cute little Bistro attached to the inn which serves a fabulous breakfast. It's also a short walk to the ferry if you want to venture into San Diego. They even provide bicycles for getting around town.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the back. You may hear street noise from the rooms in the front unless you run th...

Spent 4 days at the Crown City Inn. What a wonderful and cute establishment. The employees are absolutely wonderful. Our room was great and everything was noticeably upgraded and freshly painted. A cute restaurant (Bistro) is right next to the Lobby and the food was fantastic with reasonable prices. From the time we arrived until we departed......the accommodations were more than satisfactory (Thumbs Up). I would encourage anyone coming to Coronado Island in the San Diego Area to give this lodging facility a serious look-see. Please make advanced reservations......this establishment is popular and has a lot of "regular" visiting customers

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 208. Quiet room with new windows.....no noise.

this is our second year staying here and we are never disappointed. rooms are well appointed and CLEAN and the staff is friendly and service oriented. the location is perfect, a close walk to restaurants and a supermarket and a 5 minute drive to the beach. the bistro on site has very good food and provides dining in room if you prefer. we take our dog and even he is treated like family. there is a laundry room, its very clean and you can buy your detergent and coins right at the front desk. HOW CONVENIENT!!!!! the price for all of this is the cheapest price we found, yet the best service and food on the island. its our favorite place in calif.

A very clean and friendly place to stay. Nice amenities. Close enough to walk to the ferry and also to the beach. A bit of a hike to the beach with my metal detecting equipment, but good exercise. They have a nice small pool and bicycles to loan to patrons. Very nice and I will stay again.

Stayed here with my family over the 4th of July. This a great location, we walked to the Del and the Ferry for dinners from here. We did drive to the beach, too far to walk with all our beach stuff. We never had a problem finding parking at the beach. I did take the bus one day, It picks you up right in front of the hotel and drops you off near the Del.

We were in a room with a frig and microwave which came in handy, with coffee, tea and hot chocolate. They also have a washer and dryer.

They have coffee in the lobby all day and ice tea and cookies in the afternoon. Also used the free bikes and followed the bike path down the strand. Good happy hour at Peohe's, try the Lobster California roll.

I would recommend this hotel and will stay here again.
