We visited here this past weekend. Had not been to Sanamluang since it was below the 10 Freeway.
Sunday, circa 11:30-12 noon. Very busy when we walked inside. People waiting to be seated. The pair of us was told it would be probably 25 minutes for a table.Surprise! Since our party was only 2 people, we were seated within about 5 minutes, at a small table.
When our drinks were served (Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee) we ordered and our sever mentioned that the food probably would not fit on our table, so she would get us a larger table, which she did, and very cheerfully.
We moved and and waited a bit and our food came after a not-too-long wait, hot and fresh. We wanted leftovers and ordered the chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly, a vegetarian dish of sauteed bean sprouts and radish cake, Roll Noodles with chicken, shrimp, squid and black mushrooms in sauce with bean sprouts, and a steamed soft rice "biscuit" stuffed with chinese veggies in some seasoned sauce.
It was all excellent. We especially enjoyed the Chinese Broccoli over rice with the fried pork belly and the Ka Nom Pak Kard, the bean sprouts and radish cake dish.
This place was hopping, but very fresh and modern looking, clean and inviting. This is a pretty high energy place, noisy and busy so be aware that in some areas you might have a problem talking! Our first small table was quite noisy, but the larger second was good in this respect, but still had a very high noise level.
Rest rooms looked immaculate to me, very nice and not smelly as some can be.
They have a very nice variety of menu items, and include things I have not seen locally at other Thai restaurants, Vegetarians will be able to eat and (Veg and Vegan--check for eggs and fish sauce. . . ) the place can handle large parties (10-15 maybe?) and children. A large party may have to wait a bit.
A LOT of take-out was flying through the door.
I want to go again ASAP! Highly recommended.
