This is the perfect set-up for anyone wanting to leave any thoughts of urban life behind and step into a simple, yet enchanting world.
Set on the edge of the water, with spectacular sunset views, this is the ideal house to relax. It's not a suitable option for anyone looking for vibrant nightlife, but it is a perfect opportunity to sample genuine Greek hospitality in an idyllic setting. A small number of lovely tavernas completes the set-up for anyone who wants to stay away from any self-catering. A car, which you will definitely need to reach Horto, is very useful for the number of day trips that one could make in the surrounding Pilio villages (too many to list here).
The house itself is compact and full of character, if not a little rough around the edges. The impeccable cleanliness is a welcome plus.
We visited in June when the beach (right in front of the house) was blissfully deserted. I suspect that in August it may get busier, but I suspect that you would still manage to find plenty of space to yourself.
