The house is a delight - superb decor and remodeling. Furnishings are cheerful and comfortable, with a really nice kitchen. Many skylights brighten the house. There is a lovely patio for mingling or eating outside.
The house is in the best part of Carmel - near great beaches, bluff walks, lovely homes. We have stayed in many houses in Carmel Point, this is the best.
This is not just a vacation home, you directly feel that you are staying at a place that the owners usually stay in with beautiful and unique decoration. Silent place, great to watch the birds and other animals, easy walk to the two beaches, fully equipped house. One king size bed in master bedroom and one queen size bed in 2nd bedroom; the additional bed in the 2nd bedroom is rather small; we had our second teenager sleep on the sofa in the living room that worked out better.

My wife and three children stayed at "Beachwalk" recently and we are 100% satisfied with the stay. It is everything advertised and more. It is walking distance to two beaches and downtown Carmel. It is also just a few minutes drive to Monterey. We look forward to staying again next year!!!! Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Bradbury for letting us stay in your home.
We had a family reunion in Carmel, so we rented two homes to accommodate everyone. Four of our group stayed at Beachwalk. It was absolutely perfect! We were able to walk to the beach and to Mission Ranch, as well. The home is very comfortable, clean, nicely decorated and it has a warm, beach like feeling. The private deck is lovely and a nice place to relax at the end of the day. Phil, the owner, was incredibly helpful and attentive. We had a fabulous time together. I highly recommend Beachwalk. Thank you, Phil!
My husband and I just returned from our second stay at Beachwalk and we had a fantastic time. We have rented other houses in Carmel over the years, but this is by far our favorite. First is the location. It is technically a few blocks south of Carmel-by-the-Sea proper, but that is a huge plus because you are out of the busy, crowded, touristy area and in a peaceful spot still walking distance to the shops and restaurants. It is just 4 blocks or so to the Carmel River beach which is one end of Scenic Drive, as well. Gorgeous views from the beach of Point Lobos, Carmel Beach and Pebble Beach. I walk or run Scenic Drive every morning from Carmel Point to Carmel Beach and it is an incredible way to start the day. Also, the location is very convenient for day trips, shopping etc. since you can easily scoot out of town the back way past the Mission and avoid all of the downtown traffic on Ocean Ave.
The house itself is great. It has a recently renovated modern kitchen, a large open living room and dining area, ceiling to floor windows, sky lights that keep the house bright and airy, 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. We especially enjoy sitting outside in the beautiful courtyard/garden area which is equipped with propane heaters to take the crispiness out of Carmel evenings. We like to shop at the farmer's market on Carmel Valley Road and grill in a couple of times.
And of course, there's tons to do. If you're outdoorsy there is running, hiking at Point Lobos, rent a bike at Bay Bikes, learn to surf, and golf (of course). You can drive south to Big Sur, north to Santa Cruz, explore Monterrey and the aquarium, or drive into Carmel Valley and visit wineries. And there are a lot of shopping opportunities as well.
