Alot quieter from the Niseko side of town, which was perfect!
We came end of season but got lucky and the snow dumped- first tracks everywhere on Moiwa and hardly anyone on mountain!
The hosts that run the lodge are such lovely people, very accommodating if you have any special requirements *need a lift with your gear from the bus stop or have dietry requirements for dinner (Im vegetarien and got an incredible vegetable curry that was out of this world!) Probably the best value for money Ive had in a while, the lodge has a beautifully warm cosy vibe like being in an old wood cabin, whilst still feeling very Japanese. Pristine and clean and the little beds you sleep in in the mixed dorms were actually really comfy and have a little curtain so is very private despite being in a shared room.
Moiwa is a little far away from the town but the bus stop is just up the road and is free! If you head out one night just remember to get the last bus, or just get a cab and split the fare :)
Would stay here again and again!More
