Owner description: Woolshed Brewery is located in the 100 year old woolshed of Wilkadene Station, once a thriving wheat and sheep station now converted into a craft brewery set on the banks of the stunning Murray River. We offer our range of award winning ales, 100% Riverland Apple & Pear cider and our infamous Hard Lemonade. Wilkadene now also has our own range of premium Riverland wines. For non-drinkers why not have a freshly brewed coffee from our coffee machine. We also have a range of soft drinks available. Being a 100 year old woolshed we do not have any kitchen facilities in place to offer cooked meals. We do however sell delicious local produce from our self serve area where you can create your own platter. We also encourage our guests to bring out their own picnics or make use of our free bbq facilities. Some busier weekends we will get in local caterers to provide meals. Keep an eye out on this page for updates. Woolshed brewery is open 7 days a week from 11am-5pm. We only close Christmas Day, Boxing day, New years day and good Friday.

We pulled our houseboat into the Woolshed Brewery for a great afternoon of delicious drinks and food from the local area. Hosts were entertaining and the history is amazing. Highly recommend. And the hard lemonade is a must.

Went here for a tasting but they only have a 4 beer tasting paddle, cost $17. To bad if you have to drive, you would be over the limit! It is a lovely place and I dont doubt the quality of the beer, but if you like a taste and want to pay for it get someone else to drive. But I do believe anyone making a product should have a free taste, sorry at a brewery or winery.

Hi Tim, thanks for your review. May I ask what day you visited us???

We have absolutely no objection to offering tastings to our guests and quite often will shout customers a schooner just because we like to.

We do sell our tasting paddles for $17 as well and also recommend that these are shared if someone is the driver.

All I can think is that you may have visited us over the Easter break when we were at our full capacity (800 people) both days and spending time to do samples of all of our products may have been difficult

If this was your first time visiting us I'm sorry that was your experience but if you should return you will know it is certainly not common practice.

Hope to see you again and we'll take you through all of our range personally.

We travelled to the Woolshed Brewery via the river - almost an hour from Renmark. The setting is lovely with a big outdoor deck or grass areas where you can taste the variety of beers or hard lemonades from the brewery. All are listed on the board showing the alcohol content.
If you want to drive here you go through Paringa and it’s about 15km. We didn’t look at the old homestead but I believe there is accommodation there and the owner also has houseboats for hire.

We dropped in for a look and were very impressed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beers we chose on a tasting paddle were excellent. Sitting on the deck on a warm summer afternoon was a great way to spend some time here. The history of the property is on view and is very interesting, photos and relics of shearing in the shed. We will be back for sure.
