This is a convenient stop for your road trip. The hotel is aged but clean, although the "non-smoking" room that I was initially shown did have a really strong smell. There is not lot of traffic going through Brawley at night, but if you want it really quiet, there are rooms on the back, with plenty of parking.
Rooms are just average motel-quality, reasonably clean. The bed, however, was very comfortable, with newer mattress and pillows. Rooms have microwave and small fridge. The A/C was also a newer unit, not too noisy.
There is also free breakfast served starting at 6 am. However, I was there on a day when time was switched to the daylight saving, and perhaps the staff forgot about the time change. I was leaving early, so did not have a chance to try their breakfast.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back of the building are very quiet

They trust their guests enough to leave ceramic mugs in the room for coffee! It's the little things that make a nice stay. A comfortable bed, nice towells, friendly staff. We're leaving the mugs here, since the little sign in room asks us nicely not to take them.

We visited the dunes this spring and rolled into Brawley dirty and exhausted after camping for a few days. This motel is aged but clean, quiet and very comfortable. It looks like the owners are in the progress of updating some areas. In our room was a kitchenette, nice act and even a comfy recliner to relax in. They were very friendly and got us in quickly.

In a town where Carl's Jr. seems to be the main family restaurant... no, start again.
While vacationing in Brawley... oh wait, no one comes here as a destination.
If you happen to stay in Brawley... yeah, that's better... stay here.
Is the place great? Not really, but it's clean, the rooms are decent size, and the shower head is new. It's twice as much as other places in Brawley, but here is why it's worth it: the owner cares about the property and is working on improving it. I have stayed in a lot of family run motels around the Imperial Valley lately (Yuma and Brawley mainly). The one thing that every one has in common is an owner that just belligerently checks you in and wants you to go away. Here is different.
The owner (and his very nice family) went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. I watched him as other guests checked in and he made sure they were comfortable too. He is proud of the place, obviously, and that makes a difference.
More good stuff: the fridge was already cold, all the parking is monitored, and, oh, did I mention the shower head? (Seriously, a pet peeve of mine. I want pressure, dammit.) the hot water comes on fast and, dare I say it, really hot, too.
Did I mention the windows? Tinted for the heat. Tinted so well that you could stand naked in front of it and no one would see you. (This could be a negative for some, lol.)
Anyway, higher priced than others, but worth it just because someone cares.
I will stay here again (if I ever have to come back to Brawley.)

Clean, comfortable rooms. Front desk staff were pleasant and there seemed to be a medium amount of bookings from all over. Close to a walmart for supplies. Includes mini fridge and microwave. A good value if you need a place to stop on the way to the coast.
